Drivers who wish to obtain a learner’s permit must submit an application to PennDOT and meet certain eligibility requirements. They must also take the written exam for a learner’s permit at their nearest PennDOT office. Once they have been driving with their learner’s permits for a certain amount of time, some drivers younger than 18 may apply for a Pennsylvania driver license. Additionally, PennDOT allows drivers with existing licenses to replace their licenses, update any information and obtain different kinds of licenses. One of the most popular and successful programs that the Pennsylvania DHS administers is the SNAP program. Formerly known as food stamps, SNAP provides nutritional assistance to qualifying low-income households. This nutritional assistance comes in the form of benefits that individuals can access with an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card. This card works like a debit card.
